Summary

This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, SUPERVISION POLICY. The incumbent will assist CFPB management with a variety of complex activities and functions necessary to carry out the agency's supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

As an Examination Specialist (Compliance Technology Analyst), you will:

  • Develop and implement procedures for conducting risk-based compliance technology-related consumer financial protection examinations and other supervisory events, including risk assessment, examination scoping, and setting compliance technology examination priorities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on technical areas including information technology systems, change management, configuration management, governance and system development life cycle issues at entities subject to the CFPB's authority.
  • Identify process needs for compliance technology examinations and supervisory events (e.g. examination manuals, tools and templates, software programs, risk assessment tools.).
  • Use research and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and subject matter analysis, to provide authoritative advice, recommend courses of action, and highlight the risks and benefits of each.
