Summary

Temporary Promotion - 1 year may be extended up to 5 years. This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR. The incumbent provides leadership and insight that will help the CFPB effectively protect consumers in the digital world and stay on the cutting edge of technology to enhance the Bureau's strategic policymaking apparatus.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Advisor (Strategic Operations), you will:

  • Advise the Chief Technologist and other senior management officials on complex, cross functional, and often highly sensitive matters related to the evaluation and implementation of Bureau programs and strategic initiatives, such as the Technologist Program, policy planning, product management, web governance, and open data.
  • Lead the development and execution of the team's budget. Coordinate and assess capital and operational budget, assessing staffing and support needs to ensure successful execution of planned work.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Bureau on product management methods, agile and lean processes and procedures. Coordinates and manages staffing resources across projects and operations to ensure realistic goals can be achieved, user requirements are identified and met, and services are delivered efficiently.
  • Assess the need for Bureau wide policy, guidance, and standards regarding user-centered processes. Identifies and proposes improvement opportunities to service delivery and overall processes across the Bureau. Leads execution of these initiatives including coordinating across involved teams and managing end-to-end activities, communications, and post-implementation monitoring.
