CFPB v. All American Check Cashing, Inc. and Mid-State Finance, Inc., and sole owner, Michael Gray

We are the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a federal government agency that enforces laws that protect consumers. The (CFPB) filed a lawsuit against All American Check Cashing, Inc., Mid-State Finance, Inc., and Michael E. Gray for engaging in unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices while providing payday lending and check cashing services.

The CFPB filed a complaint against All American Check Cashing Inc., Mid-State Finance, Inc., and its owner for deceiving and trapping consumers. They used deceptive tactics to prevent customers from discovering the fees associated with their services, made misleading statements about the benefits of their high-cost payday loans, and failed to provide refunds.
